RUSSELL INSPECTION SERVICES

Safe execution. Defensible documentation

Safety and quality belong in the work plan, the field decisions and the final report.

SAFETY IN THE FIELD

Prepare for the work
Respond to the conditions

RIS plans work around applicable requirements, client site expectations and the hazards of the selected inspection method.

  • Site orientation and task-specific job safety analysis
  • Required personal protective equipment and method-specific controls
  • Coordination of access, permits and simultaneous operations
  • Communication of changing conditions, incidents and near misses
  • Specialized controls for radiation, elevated work and confined-space interfaces when applicable

QUALITY IN THE RECORD

Know what was examined
Understand the result

Inspection documentation connects the agreed scope with the technique, coverage and findings of the examination.

  • Personnel qualified for assigned methods and responsibilities
  • Approved procedures and project-defined examination criteria
  • Suitable equipment with calibration or functional verification
  • Traceable locations, findings, personnel and equipment references
  • Technical review and controlled report revisions
STOP-WORK AUTHORITY

When conditions are unsafe,
the work must stop

RIS personnel retain authority to stop work when a condition presents an unacceptable risk or conflicts with the approved plan. Work resumes after the condition is addressed and the path forward is agreed.

Establish requirements
before mobilization

Share your contractor qualification, personnel, insurance and reporting requirements early.

RIS will coordinate the documentation required for the assignment and identify scope-specific needs before the work begins. Requirements for specialist subcontractors are included in that coordination.

Inspection findings are limited to the agreed method, access and coverage. Engineering assessment or fitness-for-service evaluation is included only when expressly defined in the scope.
